My name is Kevin Caton and I am a Luthier in Chicago. I build hand crafted guitars. I am the owner and operator of Caton Guitars and an instrument repair shop. I have a passion for art and music and have always considered myself an artist. My grandfather gave me my first guitar when I was 17 and I quickly became fascinated by the way it was built.
When I opened my repair shop I did so with the intent on making it a part of the community in Logan Square. I wanted to show people that helping the artist down the street is an investment in who we are as a community. I wanted to have a store that hopefully showcased the real value of art when we put our hearts into it. I believe that my store is on a wonderful path of becoming just that. Whether or not you are a musician we can all share the power music has on our emotions.
This year we are taking Caton Guitars to Luthier conventions. We want to show that our instruments stand with the best built instruments in the world. Caton Guitars have a clean design, amazing comfort and exquisite sound. It is time for me to take my guitars to the next level and share my design and expertise with the world.
