I am GooGol: Leather-Clad Super-Heroine with Extraordinary Brain Captures Attention of 1000s of Young Readers – and Google!
Created by Sylvaine Francis, ‘I am GooGol’ fuses high technology with the human mind to give young readers the reading adventure of a lifetime. While Francis’ narrative is a world’s-first, her work has also caught he attention of Google’s legal team to kick-start a new and very real technological battle.
United Kingdom – While it’s easily confused for the brand name ‘Google’, a Googol (the number one followed by one-hundred zeroes) has existed for decades. Choosing this distinctive number as the title for a new series of comic books, Sylvaine Francis quickly entered her own David and Goliath-style battle with the technological giant in 2010, battle that she won when finally filing for her own trademark.
‘I am GooGol: The Great Invasion’ crunches the numbers and unzips technology to offer young readers a wholly unique literary adventure.
Synopsis:
This Graphic Novel introduces the beginning and reasons for a hero called Googol. Set in the future, the world has been invaded by other species, coming from out of space.
And technology is at the center of our world and daily lives. Except for a few who chose to reject it all and live underground.
The intriguing part is that the web comic suggest to us that Googol, also has power of teleportation and had to come back in our time to help us deal with the challenges brought to us by all these technologies. And our slow walk toward the Wikipad (a chip implanted in the brain).
Googol is technologically modified humans being that initial aim was to be sent on a long journey in a space ship in order to meet other species and habitable planets in our galaxy.
Before being sent on such a ship, they were used for less noble activities like online surveillances, general spying and commercial/political warfare between governments of the world.
The Bible of the Universe of Googols
An anthology that tell you everything that need to be known about this New Superhero, Googol and the Universe she is coming from.
Googol is a genetically modified laboratory rats that was sent on a space ship to discover new species and habitable Planets for us.
But one day, Googol come back on planet earth and try to save us all from an imminent danger:
– from outside: Aliens Invasion?
– Or from inside: Religions, Politics, Philosophy?
The Creator: I am Sylvaine Francis (36) and I am French. I live in London and own a brand named #Iam Googol® that will deliver some sort of competition to your traditional superman of the world.
The Kickstarter: I want to work with not one but many different artists to deliver this Graphic Novel. Using different Artists will help deliver a story told by Googol from memory (so different feel and quality in the pages and Artworks make more sense than just one Artists for the whole Graphic Novel)
I also do not want to use the real Obama, the real Queen of England or the real Prince Harry in my storyline.
I want to give the opportunity to my backers to play their roles and be proud to refer to it again, and again in their social conversations.
