New Startup Koch & Co. Footwear announced on Saturday that it is raising funds via a rewards / equity crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to launch their brand, and provide high quality footwear at an affordable price. The company set out to raise 5,000 euros on Kickstarter to allow them to produce a batch order of shoes, that would reduce their working capital, and which would allow them to pass on these savings to their backers.

Koch & Co. shoes are designed with simplicity in mind and offer classic styles that have been carefully designed to stand the test of time. The shoes are constructed using full grain leather for the uppers, a high grade masonite heel, and a supple calf leather for the lining. Inspired by the notion of ‘slow fashion’, they opt for quality materials and timeless designs to help slow the rate of fashion consumption, while providing men with beautiful shoes that are made to last.

The Kochher family has been working in the footwear industry for 4 generations and now hopes to promote and support the work of local, leather artisans in India who craft each pair of their shoes by hand. This passion and motivation to revolutionise the footwear industry was passed down the generations and now Koch & Co. hopes to bring these 60 years of craftsmanship and heritage to a wider audience and provide people with quality shoes that will last a lifetime.
