Gilbert, AZ — God Feet has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their new line of leather sandals, making a positive impact on the world, one step at a time.
“We make every pair by hand in Gilbert, AZ,” said God Feet’s David Gillette. God Feet sandals are made by hand using high quality materials such as Napa Valley Leather, memory foam soles & custom arches. God Feet claims their sandals will be your new favorite pair of shoes that custom mold to your feet.
While the sandals are handcrafted in Gilbert, AZ, the straps are woven by workers in a Guatemalan village and this helps give the impoverished community an economic boost. “The straps are made in Guatemala, the rest of the sandal is manufactured here in the God Feet garage. We make every pair,” said Shannon Gillette.
The company has partnered with the international Christian relief organization Food for the Hungry to help the artisans in Guatemala earn enough money for their families.
“Guatemala is known for its chronic malnutrition. It has high rates of malnutrition among it’s children,” said Andrew Crawford of Food for the Hungry. “Trying to give people who are already hard workers who have a great work ethic can plug their skills into something that provides additional income.”
In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including exclusive pre-order access to the Legacy Leather Sandal Collection with rewards starting as low as $5.
