FORT MYERS, FL –

Artist Lee Bretschneider has launched Role Play – Dice Portrait Tees, a Kickstarter project, to crowdfund his new line of gamer-friendly t-shirts. The project is located at http://kck.st/19wdioR.

About Role Play – Dice Portrait Tees

The brightly-colored shirts feature portraits of dice commonly used in tabletop gaming, such as the popular Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder role-playing games. In the series, eight die are given unique personalities and attire, ranging from business suits to studded-punk jackets and even papal attire. The shirts feature an allover print design, which is a growing fashion trend.

“There are a lot of shirts designed for gamers, but most just feature some wordplay or an inside joke that only other gamers will understand. I haven’t seen many gamer-friendly apparel designers put the art first.” says Bretschneider.

The project has been supported by big names in the gaming industry. Senior Creative Art Director for Dungeons & Dragons Jon Schindehette tweeted that they were “wacky and wonderful,” while fantasy illustrator Christopher Burdett is a listed backer. It was also included as “Staff Pick” in the Fashion category by Kickstarter on it’s first day of funding.

About Kickstarter

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding website that allows creators to raise capital for their creative endeavors. In 2012, Over 2 million people successfully funded 18,109 projects.

On Kickstarter, creators determine a funding goal and offer rewards to project backers if the goal is met. The rewards for the Role Play Kickstarter project include stickers, prints, postcards, custom dice portraits and shirts.

Creators also create compelling videos to convince people to become backers. The video for the Role Play shirts stars an animated-version of the artist as an old wizard shamelessly hawking the bold tees.

“I knew I had to have fun with the video,” explains Bretschneider. “Why would anyone want to watch me talk about shirts when they could watch a wizard talk about shirts? Wizards rule. Everybody knows that. It’s a no-brainer.”
