New York, NY — On November 30 2016, Futur launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Futur Wallet, the world’s first fully RFID blocking wallet available in wood, carbon fiber, and aluminum.
“Our plan is to continue innovating and redesigning pre-existing consumer products, which have remained stagnate or unchanged over the past few decades,” the creators explain, “The wallet was a simple choice. It is something everyone carries and the market has not been disrupted in a very long time.”
The Futur Wallet was meticulously crafted to ensure that all hardware was invisible, giving the wallet a seamless look. Tired of getting wallet bulge from traditional wallets or minimalist wallets that promise a lot of space, but can’t carry everything you need? The Futur Wallet solves these problems with its sleek design and ten card capacity, and a money clip or cash strap with an extra pocket for added storage.
Hanieh and Amir Sigari, the brother and sister team behind this project, were inspired to create the Futur Wallet after Amir had his credit card information stolen. They knew then that they had to do something to stop future RFID technology attacks after being told that credit cards were being skimmed all over New York City. Futur Wallet keeps your credit card information safe while being stylish and functional all at the same time.
For this Kickstarter campaign, the Futur Wallet is available in several colors and materials. Backers can pre-order the Futur Wallet in carbon fiber, black walnut, or carbonized bamboo. They also have the choice of black, gold, rose gold, or silver aluminum.
The team has already completed the prototyping and tooling stages of this project, and now they have turned to the Kickstarter community for help funding the manufacturing of the Futur Wallet. Less than a week after launching, Futur has already raised $9,244 of their $8,000 funding goal.
