A brand new beverage has hit kickstarter. With fruuted the two founders Jan and Tasso created a drink, that combines smoothies with alcohol. The first alcoholic smoothie solely consists of mashed fruits, pure juices and vodka or gin. This mixture makes it unique in the beverages market.
If you are tired of always drinking the same drinks, fruuted is the best alternative. Without any additives, most importantly without added sugar, you get to enjoy a new way of drinking.
“We didn’t want to see the same cocktails over and over again”, says Tasso, one of the two founders. “So after a long night out together, with a lot of fun and alot more alcohol, the idea of fruuted was born. After weeks of trying new mixtures we finally developed the recipe for our first product, fruuted fred.”
After developing the recipe, they worked on fruuted’s logo and the bottle, in which fruuted shall be filled.
The two founders, Tasso Kouklas and Jan Manns, both students living in a small town near cologne, germany, are passionate about their idea. Their first product, fruuted fred, consists mainly of strawberries. Hence the name fred.
But why fruuted? And why fred?
Fruuted is a mix fruits, the main ingredients, and wasted. The double u shall explain the drunk character of fruuted. Fred is a mix of fruuted, the brand’s name, and the respective color of the drink, in this case red.
The next big step on their long way to found their own company, is raising money. They worked on a Kickstarter campaign and are now live to get backed and start a production.
While the campaign is live, the two are looking for new recipes for more product lines, like fruuted freen and frooted frorange.
