Award winning photographer and graphic designer Paul Michael Kane offers up a photographic twist on a deck of Bicycle® playing cards with Foto Grafis.
This deck is a dream project for kane; the culmination of his many passions: Graphic Design, Photography and, of course, Playing Cards. While there is no Latin translation for the term photography, Kane utilizes the words foto and grafis to name this project. Foto is Latin for “light,” while Grafis mean “control.” Controlling light is a key element in creating a successful image.
With just a little over a day into the Kickstarter campaign, Kane was able to raise 30% of his funding goal of $8,500. Lower than the usual amount for a deck of cards printed with the United States Playing Card Company, Kane is contributing his own funding to make Foto Grafis a reality.
