Independent, small-batch bakery serving up fresh, preservative-free cookies.

Brooklyn, NY: The Girl In The Little Red Kitchens’ Kickstarter campaign is raising funds to launch her online bake shop, an extension to the from scratch, seasonal recipes she shares on her popular food blog.  The Bake Shop will be selling cookies made with organic and fair trade ingredients.  The campaign has less than 30 days left to reach its goal of $7,700 to help kickstart costs for commercial kitchen rental, ingredients and packing supplies.

Her cookies have won several awards.  She took home First Place People’s Choice Award at the Brooklyn Cookie Takedown in 2011 with her Duck Fat Caramel Triple Chocolate Chip Cookies.  In 2012, she topped her previous performance with First Place in both the judges and the people’s choice categories for her French Macarons.  Winning these competitions made her realize that she had a talent for baking, and propelled her to start working on her business plan to open her own bake shop.

The cookies are made with the finest organic and fair-trade ingredients, and each batch will be made fresh the night before they are shipped.  These bakery quality cookies with a homemade baked taste make the perfect gift for the cookie lover in your life, or a special treat for yourself.  Descriptions of the cookies available in the shop and as kickstarter rewards are:

  • Signature Chocolate Chip – crisp and chewy with bites of chocolate throughout and finished with homemade vanilla salt.
  • Triple Choc-o-lot – made with rich dark chocolate, cocoa powder and chocolate chips, this is a brownie in cookie form. Topped with a sprinkle of vanilla salt.
  • PB&J – Who needs bread when you can have your favorite sandwich in cookie form?
