The Floydseum is the first 3D Virtual Interactive Museum on the Pink Floyd band, history and memorabilia.

About this project

The Floydseum is a worldwide Pink Floyd memorabilia collectors Association, sharing a unique passion for the history of the band.

We are raising funds to sustain the efforts to develop the first 3D virtual museum online dedicated to the Pink Floyd band, which will be handled by Qbit Technologies, a leading online VR solution provider.We have produced a first version of the museum, which can be viewed here: floydseum.org. From this initial version, we would like to develop the full virtual experience, by extending the virtual museum to cover all the history of the band.

The new version will be developed on innovative online VR technology and will be accessible in 3D and with an avatar, by all internet users. It will be accessible by all devices and with smart VR devices, such as the Oculus Rift and Samsung VR Gear.

Risks and challenges

The Floydseum 3D Pink Floyd Virtual Museum is a non-profit project, promoted by the Floydseum Association in Venice. We have no commercial goals, but only to spread the art of the Pink Floyd and grow a community around our virtual museum.

We have experience in developing 3D immersive environments, so we are carefully planning all phases of development and once we secure the financing for the development works, we will proceed smoothly to the delivery of the project.

Current Virtual Museum

Immerse yourself in the first 3D universe dedicated to the rock band, to relive the Pink Floyd charm through a unique, amusing and valorising experience. You will discover a picturesque and metaphysical word, enriched by fantastic, original artworks kindly offered by collectors. The rooms of the museum are ready to provide visitors with tens of masterpieces like vinyl, unique live show and backstage pictures, magazines and beautiful memorabilia. In addition, an entire shop where buy, like in a real museum, gadgets and memories linked to the English rock band.

I graduated at Cà Foscari University in "Languages and Foreign Literatures" because of my interest in learning more of cultures and countries and meeting new people. I am a technology lover, so I tried to turn my interest into my job. I work as Project Manager for Qbit Technologies, an Innovation Lab focusing in creating links between research on new technologies and businesses.
