Q: What do Diana DeGarmo, Nancy Silverton, a celebrity impersonator, a Tony nominee, a Peabody Award winner and the apocalypse have in common?

A: Bumper stickers, a cat, 2 dogs, a guinea pig, toilet paper and a Honda Del Sol.

Hold that thought, because we here at Zekeness are super excited to announce the recent launch of our Indiegogo campaign for the short film Ride or Die and talk about perks galore!

Ride or Die is the second project from the LA based crew at Zekeness who last brought you festival favorite “Megan’s Shift.” – A cautionary tale of a waiter at the end of his rope.

This time around with Ride or Die we’re planting ourselves smack dab in the middle of an apocalyptic Los Angeles where two friends negotiate a plan to pack a car and get to Vermont.

One issue – too many friends.

Perks abound with things such as personal recordings of “Happy Birthday” by Broadway stars, dinner at a James Beard award winning restaurant, original artwork, prints and sculptures, brainstorming sessions with our Peabody Award winning writer/director Zeke Farrow, a Survival Kit and the chance to see your name on the big screen. (Yep, we offered that.)

Principal shooting begins July 8th and it’s just in time for the SoCal heatwave so we need YOU to help us keep our water supply on pointe.

With each amazing perk we can ensure our cast and crew is hydrated and well fed, our equipment solid, our post-production smooth sailing, festival fees covered and, fingers crossed, more people PAID.

Ya know, like the director, screenwriter and producers. The little people.

Really, this is ultimately about helping a great group of talented people create another fantastic film that we really believe in… Again. (I mean, we’re already thinking about our next project.)

What can we say – we really like each other. Watch the video. You’ll like us, too.

Say it with me and repeat: Click, watch, perk, share!

Thanks so much for supporting Independent Film and artists passionate about what they do.

Let’s do this!
