Portland, OR – October 4th — A Portland based father and son has invented a new product on Indiegogo that they came up with on Friday the 13th– HeadlessPC. It’s basically a gaming laptop with the screen removed – with extra peripherals and streaming support to make up for the lack of a screen. We plan to include support for Wifi Direct, WHDI, as well as other Display-over-wifi technology, plus the best hardware, a mechanical keyboard, and make it super comfortable to carry around and keep on your lap.

“After one of my kids had broken the screen on my MSI Titan, I had been using it connected with a HDMI cable because I couldn’t part with the great hardware and mechanical keyboard. My son Phoenix came up behind me and said ‘Why don’t you just remove the screen?’ So we did it, and it was brutal, and metal, and just plain awesome. We looked at each other and immediately knew what we had created.” says Drake Boley, programmer and inventor. “Since we had invented it on Friday the 13th and Halloween was just around the corner, we immediately thought of the Headless Horseman, and it seemed a perfect idea to launch a crowdfunding campaign over the Halloween season to get it funded. Phoenix and I are both inventors, programmers, and makers, and would love the support to make this happen!”

You can check out the crowdfunding campaign at headlesspc.com, it ends at midnight on Halloween Night with a goal of $66,666, with perks ranging from t-shirts to entire HeadlessPC model pre-sales.
