Fort Lauderdale, United States — Fashion Alliance World (FAW) is excited to present “As the Sun Rises Over Fort Lauderdale,” a festival of fashion, art and film that will take place in Fort Lauderdale (FTL), Florida on September 29th.

“The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the talents that exist in the fine arts industry in FTL and showcase their work,” says director, Colis Duncan, “In addition, we’ve invited fashion designers, artisans and film makers from around the world to come to FTL to present their exclusive and exquisite collections. Guests can expect a range of talent from different cultures, such as as Haiti, Jamaica, Canada, Paris, Sweden, Russia, China and the USA.”

Fashion Alliance World was created to bring together fashion designers, stylists, merchandisers, artists, illustrators, photographers, models, and hair/make-up to join forces in promoting the growth of the fashion/art industry in South Florida.

During this event, FAW will carefully select one from each category a fashion designer, artist and filmmaker whose work has impressed fashion and art world experts and they will be awarded for their efforts.

This festival is also a benefit event for which a portion of the proceeds will benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, helping children and families in need of medical assistance.

“We want to establish a shared space called the ‘The Art Row’ where everyone in these Industries who cannot afford their own space can come and have a place to work,” the team explained, “Those who become Fashion Alliance members get to showcase their work in ‘The Art Row’.”

To achieve this goal, FAW recently launched an Indiegogo campaign. The public is encouraged to show support for the event and spread the word to help creatives in the area and around the world display their talents.

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including a signed poster, armband, and an invitation to the show for $25, a t-shirt and an invitation for $50, and more. Backers can also pledge $5,000 for a special thank you note from the team, four tickets to the multiple day show, a DVD, a half-page ad in the program, and behind-the-scenes access. Every backer will be credited on FAW’s website.
