Los Angeles, CA– Children’s books Author/Illustrator Randa Handler is determined to make a difference. In 2013, she released through Premier Digital Publishing five unique ebooks that deal with differences and instill tolerance into kids! Two installments in her much anticipated Cubbie Blue series with multi-ethnic and multi-cultural characters were released on UN DAY. Book 1 sets the stage for the series about the adventures of three boys & their special tiny friend, Cubbie Blue and his even tinier dog, Dot, while Book two features a blind child and helps kids learn how to deal with disabilities. Not easy to make an educational series fun and non preachy!
Due to rave reviews from parents, kids and paper requests from teachers, Handler decided to print and donate 2 of her books: If I Were King & The Boy Who Spoke To God.
‘If I Were King’, Mom’s Choice Award 2013 Winner/Silver, which focuses on finding true friendships and learning about boundaries. “I appreciate how it teaches valuable lessons about self-awareness and individuality in an easy-to-read animal tale. I definitely recommend this book to any parent or educator,” posts Hope an Elementary School Teacher/Portland, OR.
‘The Boy Who Spoke to God’, (not a religious book) which introduces kids to all beliefs and opens the dialogue about it. “Religion? God? Yes I went there too! I really feel we need to teach tolerance there too! I’m so touched that some people have likened my message in it to Mandela’s!” shares Handler.
“All beliefs are okay as long as they don¹t cause people to hurt one another.” Grady Harp, TOP 50 Amazon Reviewer.
“The Boy Who Spoke to God, teaches that despite differences in religions, God is the God of everyone, and children will understand this important lesson. ” Dr. Israel Drazin.
“Handler has the right idea with Boy Who Spoke to God, instill tolerance of all beliefs! Great to see that parents and teachers approve,” says best selling author Calvin Helin adding, “We advocate her unique books and agree with her mission; instilling an attitude of tolerance into kids at the outset does make a difference and will therefore help manifest a better world!”
Handler must be on the right track as even the international media has picked up the story about the release of her books! Hopefully some attention will focus on her campaign too! Randa Handler’s background includes being an international journalist, publicist and publisher. She has successfully published an educational series of children’s books that are still being used as ‘lesson plans’ by elementary school teachers.
