Lethbridge, AB | July 22, 2015 — Jena Murray is not your everyday young woman. She is a former intern with the Canadian Space Agency and fashion designer Anna Sui, an expert 3D designer, an Alberta Sports Hall of Fame member and now an advocate for empowering young girls through her social enterprise, VEENA.

VEENA is a clothing line that is organic, fair-trade certified and has a strong social mission stating that every girl can embrace who she is and have the courage to change the world.  To strengthen her company’s mission, Jena created VEENA WARRIORS, a free program that brings girls together using art and creativity, allowing them to reflect, communicate and grow their self worth.

Jena Murray is pleased to announce that the VEENA Indiegogo campaign is now live and has reached 70% of its funding goal!  Her campaign has already been listed as a trending campaign and ranked number one in the fashion category. As the first fashion crowdfunding campaign to originate from the small town of Lethbridge, Alberta, Jena is seeking support from North Americans to help VEENA fund the production of its Fall 2015 season and further develop the VEENA WARRIORS program.

“I want to use my passion for art as a way to help girls love themselves” says Jena.  “My most recent collection is based on strength and freedom; strength to let your inner self be seen and freedom to be who you really are. I look forward to the results of the Indiegogo campaign because I know I can reach so many more young girls with my mission. ”

The VEENA clothing line is also inspired by artwork that girls create during the VEENA WARRIORS program.  In return, girls feel empowered when they wear VEENA clothing and it represents their thoughts, feelings and dreams.

Jena is excited to have amazing supporters of her mission and crowdfunding campaign such as: Source My Garment, Luevo, Media Mountain, Grizzly Media, Girl Zone, Miss Believe, Ecojot, Volunteer in India, Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, Remarkable Magazine and Melissa Mountain.
