Niles, OH — November 10, 2015 | Local artist, Michael Crouse, announces today that he is launching a Kickstarter campaign, “Escape Art: Art on the Edge,” to raise money through crowd funding as he pioneers a new technique by creating sculptured art inside a deep frame.
Today begins a 30-day journey to raise $1,025.00 to acquire shadow-box style frames and materials through the online crowd funding website kickstarter.com, which offers increased levels of reward to its backers depending on his or her generosity. Tapping into a worldwide audience, crowd funding is a form of alternative finance that allows individuals and organizations to bring parties together to launch an idea, on a global platform.
Edge Art pioneers a new technique by placing polypro webbing or canvas strips, literally on its edge, producing a three dimensional sculptured art design inside a recessed frame that comes alive to display an explosion of color, illusion and movement. Escape Art personalizes every design from corporate and restaurant themes to matching home interiors.
“Every design tells a story,” says Michael. “I believe every organization and home needs to have at least one piece of artwork that shows who they are.” he added.
Michael Crouse is a former high school teacher who became a stay-at-home-dad of two and turned to crafting in between household duties. This attempt to launch “Edge Art” takes his artistic abilities from the classroom to your living room or office.
