August 3rd, 2015 – Pixors, founded by “James Wee” announces its crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. Pixors aims to bring pixel art offline and conduct free pixel art classes in kindergartens.
James’s creation, “Pixors” allows people to use colorful square stickers (called pixels) to make pixel art decorations and murals. This gives users the freedom to create customized wall pixel art designs.
When James was prototyping Pixors in kindergartens, he realized that children age 4 – 8 benefit from making pixel art offline using stickers. Therefore, he has decided to create a separate product to cater for children.
Pixel art has always been available on digital medias only. Bringing it offline using Pixors stickers have finally made pixel art free from its digital boundaries.
James Wee founded Pixors in early 2015. About the company’s crowdfunding campaign, James says “Using Pixors stickers, there are endless possibilities to create pixel art offline. We love to give back as well, that is why we are also conducting free Pixors classes for kindergartens.” Pixors is presented with “Maker of Merit” award in Maker Faire Singapore. It is currently 52% funded, featured on indiegogo and still have 35 more days left.
