Series Synopsis:
This is a comedy documentary series on the lives and everyday going ons of a breakfast television team, A stressful, competitive, sleep deprived workplace is a great setting for a comedy. A world where people are inherently fake and on their toes about getting stabbed in the back, where ratings are key to success and your job is on the line.
The show will depict what its like to work behind the scenes of the glitzy, glamour exciting world of TV. Involving character relationships, crazy television workplace politics and where a team of people need to get the story first; stories pulled from the headlines and tweaked for comedy purposes. It peeks into what really goes on at your favourite breakfast show with the people you become attached to because they use phrases such as “family” and “loyal viewers” to hook you in.
Along with Brian a country larrikin who likes a drink and is a bit immature will be a bunch of his oddball co-workers all with personality traits that are heightened for an entertaining show.
There is so much to explore in this genre and style of show, endless segments and guests, on or off the air pranks and the repercussions, cameo appearances from famous people as either exaggerated versions of themselves or written in characters. As the series progresses there’s the rivalry amongst other breakfast shows and what happens when the ratings start to rise and people’s egos are inflated and need to be in check.
