Now introducing Dynamics of Art Anatomy Video Series on IndieGoGo! This campaign is designed to bring affordable art education to all. Learn the dynamics of the human form as demonstrated in simple terms!

My name is Dr. Gingher Leyendecker and I have been teaching Life Drawing and Art Anatomy for 14 years. I believe there is a huge misconception in the world that you are either born with art talent or not, and my campaign is designed to challenge and overcome that belief. My series of 5 figure drawing videos will take the mystery out of figure drawing by showing clear and simple ways of drawing the human form, based on demonstrations given in my classroom.

Anyone can learn to draw, and while not everyone will be an artist, we can all develop an appreciation of the arts and an understanding of what it takes to be an artist. As arts education funding continues to decline, I feel it is more important than ever to provide alternative ways for students to learn to develop their skills in art.

What We Need & What You Get

In creating a video series, the costs include filming, editing, production, design and packaging, creation of the physical product, and distribution. It will cost an average of $2000 per video, and I will be doing 5, for a total cost of $10,000.

For being a contributor–you will not only assist in advancing arts education–you will get great stuff!! You can receive copies of individual videos or the whole series (hard copy or digital download), charcoal, pastel, or oil portraits or figure drawings, small group or private lessons, and even a spot as a model in one of the videos! Be a part of art history in the making!

The Impact

The arts are being defunded in schools everywhere, from kindergarden to college. Many people who are interested in the arts simply can’t get the resources they need. Figure drawing in particular has been historically difficult to learn, as each person and every pose is so different. Many people give up thinking they just don’t have talent. In my years of experience teaching Life Drawing and Art Anatomy, I know that this is simply not true.

I have developed an easy to follow format for drawing that breaks the figure down into simple shapes and proportions based on anatomy. These lessons are based on those I give in my classroom, and have been honed over 14 years to make them as simple and easy to understand as possible. I have seen thousands of students improve their skills dramatically in my classroom, and now I want to make these lessons available to all.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you are unable to contribute but believe in the cause, please share this campaign with anyone who is interested in the arts. Thank you for helping make arts education accessible for all! www.indiegogo.com
