DVO is a daily devotional iOS app inspired by the Bible, life and faith. It features beautiful artwork and personal, honest devotionals and quotes every day ready for users to read and engage at any time and place.

DVO is a collaboration between Pocket Fuel; an online ministry founded by husband-and-wife team Jesse and Liz Milani in Australia and Alphapod; a human-centered, mobile-first digital studio from Malaysia that specializes in creating meaningful digital experiences for users. Together, they are passionate about discovering God in the everyday of life, and helping others do the same.

What started as a small personal project just over 2 years ago has grown into an incredible worldwide community of more than 270,000 people from all over the world. Up until now, the app has only been available on iOS, but after receiving hundreds of requests from the Android community, the creators have decided to move forward with plans to build an Android version of the app.

To make this happen, the creators have turned to Kickstarter as a fundraising platform to get the project from prototype stage and into users’ hands in the quickest way possible. With Kickstarter, the creators are hoping to raise $14,000 AUD (~$10,000 USD) by the 22nd of October, 2015 for the following:

1. Design and development of the Android app.
2. Development of a new login system for users to access subscriptions on any Android or iOS device.
3. Produce exclusive backer rewards such as stickers, phone cases and art prints.

DVO is free to use for 31 days, after which users have the option to subscribe for a monthly ($0.99 USD/month) or annual subscription ($9.99 USD/year) to continue receiving devotionals daily. Content remains in the app even after the free trial period expires.

If successful, the creators are planning for an exclusive backer-only launch for DVO on the Google Play Store on the 15th of December, 2015. DVO will be available to the rest of the world during its official release on the 1st of January, 2016.
