The Dreamkeepers graphic novel saga is running it’s first ever Kickstarter campaign! If you’re unfamiliar with our graphic novels, here’s the gist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDGyY_uQrmg&feature=share&list=UUJigLAIi0DB0zimPbb7jCeg
They’re free to read here: http://www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/GNSaga.php
Also free to read is the prequel web comic, Prelude. Featuring the childhood misadventures of the cast, Prelude is our bi-weekly indulgence in pure fun.
But it’s never been available in actual, physical book form-
Until now.
We’re creating an 8.5 x 11 280-page full color book, complete with illustrations and extras. The catch? All that colorful beauty makes for a monstrous printing cost. If we go print-on-demand, we’d have to charge at least $100 per book. Ow.
That’s why we want to fund a large scale print run for this book- so we can sell copies starting at $35. Far more affordable for our readers- and plus, a successful Kickstarter gives us the elbow-room for all sorts of goodies and extras! Including an all-new sticker set from the Vivid artist STJ.

If we hit our goal, the Prelude book will get printed at an affordable rate, along with stickers, posters, and buttons springing out from the sidelines. We’ll be printing and delivering books- one of our favorite things.
Plus I love the feature of Stretch Goals that Kickstarter offers. I’ve set it up so that some stretch goals will rain benefits down on everyone supporting us- so you don’t have to be a top-tier donor to enjoy the extras. If we pull together, I’m excited to see just how far we can push this thing!
The Kickstarter has launched to great effect thus far. Propelled by our readership, It’s cleared more than half it’s goal within the first days of being announced! At the current rate, we’re hoping to begin hitting some of our stretch goals by the end of July. They include poster designs, increased update frequency on the webcomic, additional extras within the book itself, creating a plush toy with creative input from the backers, and even a reprinting of Volume 1 of the graphic novel saga.
If met, the Kickstarter will also allow us to create the Prelude collection in softcover *and* hardcover editions. That way readers can choose which edition is best for them- giving more flexibility to our readers is one of the advantages to crowdfunding that we’re excited about.
