Synopsis: An eager dancer auditions for a local hip-hop troupe in search of adding new members. But at her one opportunity to impress them, she blows it with an inadequate performance. Will this dreamer sacrifice her true talent or give dancing another shot? “Dreamer: A Dance Narrative” is a BA Thesis film created by students at Emerson College. We aim to make a relatable story about failure, overcoming self-doubt, picking yourself back up when you fall, and believing in your artistry, all told through dance. The film will feature hip hop, street jazz and contemporary styled dancing by several choreographers to new music by rising hip hop/pop artists.
