Bedford, CA — Bolts Club, the skate app which pays cash for tricks from any spot around the world, is excited to announce the launch of their Indiegogo campaign for Down the Backstreets, a detailed book featuring fifty of the world’s most obscure skateboarding spots.
“These days you see skateboarding everywhere. This book is about the skating you don’t see,” said writer Niall Neeson.
Bolts Club has got skaters all around the world paid for their footage from spots they rip with their friends and now they are excited to present a book on the spot-hunting culture which drives real skateboarding. Featuring renowned skate photographer Gaston Francisco and written by Kingpin founder Niall Neeson, this full color photography book is a must for any serious skateboarder.
In this book, the Bolts Club team dips back into decades of skate experience and lore to present a collection of their favorite skate locations from around the wide world, many of which their team first brought to light internationally.
The book will be dramatically different to anything previously released in the skateboarding genre, combining unrepeatable photography with sharp and insightful essays on the terrains, cultures and backstories of the places and skaters involved.
Down the Backstreets is the perfect present for skaters, photographers, and action sports fans who think they have seen it all, with delivery estimated in December 2018 – just in time for the holidays.
“Down The Backstreets is a project designed to support of the Bolts Club app in both marketing and finance,” explained founder of the Bolts Club and book publisher, Lior Zelering, “Producing the book will allow us to roll out the next iteration of the app with bigger contests and larger prize purses.”
In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including one copy of Down the Backstreets for $29, the book and a limited-edition Bolts Club deck for $130, and more. Backers can also pledge $200 for a copy of the book with a personal message from the team.
