Now, Matthew Contri, Founder and Owner of Do the Truffle wants to roll out his great love of the chocolate truffle to everyone else!

Do the Truffle was officially founded in October 2012 by Matthew Contri, a software developer by trade but chef and chocolatier at heart. Do the Truffle started with a small client base in the surrounding town of La Verne, California. With word spreading of the flavors and purity that the truffles exhibit, the client base is beginning to spread and become stressful to keep up with the lack of kitchen space and proper equipment to keep up with the demand. Matthew decided to take the leap and look to crowd-funding for help to get his production of these great and tasty truffles to a sustainable level. Along with the crowd-funding, Do the Truffle is also expanding to the internet and is currently working on their new website, which should be released mid July.

The mission and focus behind Do the Truffle and their dedication to producing harmonies of flavor and aromas for your sense are quite simple. Each hand-rolled or mold formed truffle is made from a made to order batch of chocolate ganache, stirred by hand and quality tested before even being considered good enough to be made into a truffle. The ingredients are ensured to be from high-quality suppliers, locally grown and contain no harsh preservatives and no chemicals. The chocolate, fruits, flowers, liquors and nuts will always be fresh and meet the high-standards of quality and delectable flavors Do the Truffle expects and will only use. With proper shipping and packaging, Do the Truffle ensures that each and every truffle that leaves its shop will arrive at its destination as beautiful and delicious looking as it did when it left.

On June 10, 2013, Do the Truffle launched its campaign on KickStarter with a modest goal and a great little video and in-depth explanation of its purpose, mission and goals. Along with those, Do the Truffle introduces their Chocolate Truffle flavors and pre-designed Truffle sets to take the guess-work out of putting together a great combination of flavors to entice ones palate and tingle the nose. Those set include The Garden Symphony, Lady’s Night Out and Liquori della Notte (Spirits of the Night).

With backer tiers ranging from $1 to $1000, and rewards ranging from a simple “Thank You” to the ultimate 6 dozen Chocolate Truffles including 3 dozen of their Creme de la Creme Truffle the Cristal Gold, a White Chocolate truffle fused with Cristal champagne sparkling inside with edible 23kt. gold leaf and garnished with the same, there is a reward fitting for everyone.
