Bradford, UK — On June 1 2016, Marius Rivis launched a Kickstarter campaign for Divided Dreams, a mystery thriller novel in which a broken society has groomed the climb of a murderer. Tired of reading the same predictable mystery novels, Rivis hopes to bring us something new and exciting. He is also planning to include his audience in the writing process, making crowdfunding and the Kickstarter community an important part of this project.

“Divided Dreams is something that I envisioned as a challenge, not only to myself but to my readers as well. While others choose to underestimate their audience, I know the caliber of people this book will attract,” the creator explains, “The novel is primary a mystery thriller, as such a lot of threads will be pulled before you in each chapter. Those attentive enough will experience joy and triumph as you’ll piece the scattered fragments of the image into a cohesive whole.”

Keeping you on edge from the start, this novel explores the deepest elements of human depravity. Divided Dreams tells you the story of a writer, Iacob, who is associated with a string of serial murders and is being threatened by the victim’s families.

In order to complete his novel, Rivis is looking to raise £7,500 by the end of June. These funds will cover the costs of professional editing and proofreading, manufacturing, shipping rewards, eBook conversion, and other expenses. If this Kickstarter campaign reaches its goal on time, Divided Dreams will be finished and ready to ship by the end of summer.

“In this present moment Divided Dreams sits on 14 chapters, summing 42,745 words. Based on my pace and the layout that I set, the book will be complete at around 85,000 words,” says Rivis, “While I’m momentarily employed, once this project reaches success with your contribution I’ll be able to dedicate all of my time and energy in order to finish it. Since every plot-point is already penned down, it is simply a question of time to finalize it.”

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including a digital copy of Divided Dreams for £8, a paperback copy for £20, and more. Backers can also pledge £35 for a hardcover copy of Divided Dreams or £50 for a digital, paperback, and hardcover copy of the book, exclusive access to the Private Forums and a chance to talk to the creator on Skype!
