Delta, a unique and adorable alien puppet (who prefers to be called a Cosmic Ranger) is on the hunt for Burning Man. Delta is the lead character in a brand new documentary web-series by Ripple Road Productions, that seeks to tackle difficult social issues – such as immigration, income inequality, racism, etc) through the eyes of a completely objective alien creature who knows very little about Earth.
The Delta Project combines probing journalism with comedy, dramatic story line, and action, drawing inspiration from popular television and web shows like VICE News, the Muppets, Power Rangers, and No You Shut Up. The Delta Project aims to attract an audience similar to the Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming, as well as people who are fans of rugged, on the ground style journalistic documentaries like those of VICE News.
In an attempt to engage a wide audience through deep material, The Delta Project is seeking to shoot its first episode at Burning Man. A visually stunning festival with immense popularity and a wide variety of attendees, Burning Man offers an opportunity to shoot a documentary that is both educational and wildly entertaining.
