Curse of Cassandra announced the upcoming release of their new album Nekonomicon by launching a Kickstarter campaign. They are looking for backers to help fund the production costs, pressing, marketing and distribution of the album.
Nekonomicon summons songs from famous witches past. Each song is named after a mythological witch and tells her story. It is a darkwave goth pop album for anyone who feels Otherworldy and continues the bands themes of cats, witches and the occult. Curse of Cassandra have previously released two full length albums Cult of Cats (2016) and Night (2014).
Backers of the Kickstarter receive a range of rewards including signed albums, t-shirts, hoodies and special exclusive perks like having your cat immortalized in the Nekonomicon book that accompanies the album (Cleopatra’s Cat level, only available to backers).
In addition, all backers will receive exclusive behind-the-scenes updates as Curse of Cassandra prepares to tour in support of the new album.
Digital downloads of the album will be sent out immediately upon the November 18th release and other materials will ship in December. They have successfully released two previous albums and will deliver as promised.
This is a short-run Kickstarter and will only run for 10 days, ending on November 18th, the day of the album release. The Kickstarter met its goal in two days and a new stretch goal of $4000 has been established, upon hitting $4000, they will add two Witch House remixes by two of the finest underground witch house artists around for all backers at the $10 pledge level and up!
Curse of Cassandra is entirely independent and crowdfunding is an essential part of keeping independent music alive. The band tours around the US in their rv with their two sphynx cats performing shows and meeting new fans along the way.
