I created a GoFundMe campaign page about my wishes to seek funds for second year of nursing school. I would really appreciate it if everyone would take a look (possible donate) and share this to everyone they know!

Here is a bit about myself..

My name is Bina Nsimba, and I will be entering into my second year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Program, that is a collaboration between Ryerson University, Centennial College, and George Brown College. I will be able to graduate this 4 year degree program- with your help- to become a registered nurse in the future. I would love to have the opportunity to fulfill my nursing aspirations, because of my passion for caring for others, my love for the sciences, and my adoration for the many fields I would have the option of going into (ex. intensive care, labor and delivery, long-term care), in Canada or aboard. I feel incredibly blessed already to have had the opportunity to win about nine scholarships, bursaries and awards going into my first year- from my high-school, external associations, and even the institution that I attend- Centennial College. Fortunately, the scholarships, bursaries and awards that I won, were able to help pay for about half of my first year’s tuition, while I used out of pocket money (from my mother) to cover the rest of the expenses for that year. This is where you would come in, to help alleviate the cost of my second year tuition of about $7,000!

As the second rolls around, I have found that it is a lot harder to accumulate the money to fund a post-secondary education, due to the decrease in opportunity for students already in post-secondary institution, with my credentials. Being the daughter of a single mother, I have tried to find every resource or situation possible to decrease the amount of debt I would have- by living at home, applying for scholarships, bursaries and awards, and using my Registered Education Savings Plan (RESPs). I don’t feel right asking for anything- which is why I usually find ways to overcome life challenges on my own- but due to the financial extent of post-secondary school tuition, I will be going way out of my comfort zone to find every possible way to fund my education. I have fought very hard academically and financially to get to the place I am today in my education, and hope financial restraints will not interfere in my journey on this career path. Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated in supporting me to live out my dreams. I want to thank you all for taking the time to visit my page, and hope that you would consider helping me fund my post-secondary education and/or share this GoFundMe page will others!

Thank you for your time!
