New to the playing field, CrowdFundFusion aims to aggregate crowdfunding projects from across the web, making it easier for patrons and backers to discover new initiatives.
The website was started by longtime friends Jonathan Mushey and Lenny Leblanc after running their own Kickstarter campaign for an iPhone holder.
During the preparation phase of their project, they became frustrated from having to visit multiple crowdfunding websites to research and learn from similar campaigns. Building off this pain-point, the team drew on their IT experience to hack together a site that could collect, group, and sort crowdfunding projects.
Based in Winnipeg, Canada, the team now tracks projects across Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and RocketHub. However, users have started submitting and voting for additional crowdfunding platforms to be added to the website, like CrowdCube, Fundly, and Razzo.
The next sites to be added to CrowdFundFusion will be based on how many votes the site gets, how popular the site is, and the types of projects it has.
CrowdfundFusion will now compete with websites like BoomBox, YellowBric, and Seederella in a growing crowdfunding project marketplace.
