San Diego, CA – On April 23 2015, Autognome LLC launched a Kickstarter campaign for Clikk, a new Apple and Android Smartwatch home theatre remote control.

“Why fiddle for a remote when there is a computer on your wrist? Control your home theater, camera, fan, lights and a lot more from your Smartwatch,” explains the creator, “Clikk is a remote that is always on you, so you will never have to fetch for a remote ever again.”

With a simple touch of a button on your Smartwatch, Clikk uses a low energy Bluetooth connection which is then converted into an infrared (IR) remote control signal. Clikk allows you to easily control a wide range of household products from your wrist, and eliminates the hassle of searching for misplaced remote controls.

Clikk works with simple hardware and software that is easy for anyone to use. All you need to do to set it up is press the learn button on the Clikk unit, press a button on your old remote, and touch the button on your Smartwatch to program. Just place Clikk within 15 feet of your components and easily use your phone or Smartwatch to control multiple objects (such as a home theater, light, or something else) within a range of 30 feet.

“We have worked hard to bring a whole new meaning to remote control. We are ready to take Clikk to the next phase: industrial design, manufacturing, testing and quality assurance,” the Autognome team says, “Your support will take us through these crucial stages of moving from prototype to production.”

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including an early bird Clikk for $25 or for the special Kickstarter price of $39, two Clikk units for $75, a Clikk with source code and schematics for $95, and more!
