Composer competition. Hello, my name is Isaiah Mendoza and I am in the run to be a nationally recognized composer. In February of this year, I was selected to be a RAWartist, a program that finds up and coming artists and showcases their work in front of an audience of over 500 people. I want to take it a step further. On October 1st-9th online voting for the RAWards begins. The RAWards is an awards ceremony in Las Angeles, CA where an artist from each category (via online voting) is chosen to present their work to an audience of over 10,000 people.
I want to be as prepared as possible for this. I am trying to raise 5000 dollars for equipment and promotion. I will use 500-1000 dollars for promotion (flyers, business cards, online promotion, ect.) and 4000-4500 for new musical equipment. With this equipment I can begin my project, where I plan to write 10 original songs of the highest quality possible for my presentation to RAW. Currently, my operating system limits my ability to fully reach my creative potential. I believe that with your help, I can make my dream of someday becoming a full-time composer come true.
