Most children’s clothing is made from cotton, spun into single-strand fibers, which are twisted into a single thread. This makes the clothing durable and able to maintain its form; however, it also makes it much more rigid and firm. As we know, hard cotton is not comfortable to wear, and so companies apply chemicals to soften these strands and feel more like what expect our cotton clothing to feel like. For children, these chemicals can cause a host of problems, including rashes and redness.
What sets Lenmmo™ apart is that we forego these harmful chemicals and instead focus on the cotton, applying our pioneering Silrospun technology instead of chemicals, which make our clothing not only durable, but much better able to help you protect your infant’s fragile skin. Silrospun technology includes three strands, two outer strands, and one inner strand. The inner strand is the foundation of our clothing. It is what maintains the clothing’s softness because it isn’t twisted until taut like in all other cotton products. That means we can avoid using softening agents, and our clothing can breathe and naturally regulate temperature. The other two strands are placed in a criss-cross pattern around the second layer, adding to the thread count and ability for the clothing to maintain its shape and wick away sweat from your child’s skin.
