Clothes That Fit are garments that are made specifically for your measurements. Say goodbye to terrible fitting clothes!

Hi! My name is Lynn and I have been a seamstress/tailor for 38 years. I have made custom clothing for clients but have mostly focused on altering off the rack clothing for men and women as well as doing specialty alterations on bridal and formal wear. I started Excellent Alterations in 2010 and have found that at least 90 percent of my customers complain that anything they buy does not fit and the new styles are fitting worse and worse. Sure this is great for my business right now but after 38 years of doing alterations, I want to switch gears and start fresh in another direction. I have always wanted to create not just make something fit. Clothing today can be designed to fit any individual. Computer programs are available..for a price…which allow input of personal measurements to generate patterns for a custom fit. This will more or less eliminate the need for any alterations and you will be able to wear your clothes as soon as you get them!

I am starting a Kickstarter project in order to fund the software, equipment and supply costs, along with the training of employees associated with making this transition. I will also need to relocate the business as my current leased building is up for sale and I will be unable to move once this project is launched and the building sells. I plan to lease a simple building large enough to hold a future operation.

This project is something that was needed long ago. Even though I admit it will start on a smaller scale, it has the ability to grow exponentially!

In making the transition from alterations to custom fit, the hardest thing will be the initial setup and learning the specific software program. I also worry that overwhelming support for the project would bring an overabundance of orders before I can get everything set and ready to go. I am dedicated to make this work and have no problem working any hours needed to fulfill my orders. I have managed to make my current business a success by doing whatever has to be done and will do the same with this one! Anyone starting out knows they are taking a leap of faith when they strike out on a new venture and, having already done this once, I am prepared for any pitfalls which may come my way.
