Bare Life was created from our founder, Ali’s struggles with chronic illness, Lyme Disease, Cancer, and IBS.
“It was my junior year at college. I could not get out of bed or eat without ending up in the bathroom. I didn’t know what was happening and ended up in the emergency room. I left with no answers and had to take a medical leave of absence from college. For the last six years, I have visited 30+ doctors, clinics and nutritionists. I was diagnosed with several chronic illnesses, including Lyme Disease and its Co-infections, IBS and Cancer. My doctors recommended a radically different diet for me. Even though, I felt better and lost 100 pounds, finding foods that fit with my new diet was impossible and finding them took up most of my time. Through support groups I met with a lot of other chronic illness warriors and found out they were having the same problem. I thought I could solve this problem.”
Thanks to Ali’s journey, creativity, and passion, we are making allergen and irritant free foods available to the 133 million people in the U.S. struggling with chronic illnesses, just like Ali.
