Arcadia, CA – On May 29 2015, Peter Lin launched a Kickstarter campaign for SnapPal, the ultimate camera trigger. SnapPal is the first camera trigger that includes motion control and water drop photography functionalities. Plus, SnapPal is also the first camera trigger that can be operated remotely without using a smartphone.

“Many current products in the camera trigger category can do time lapse, bulb ramping, bulb HDR, laser, and sound trigger,” explains the creator, “Some allow you to add your own sensor to a device, and some can do motion control or water drop photography like my last successful Kickstarter project. However, no single product can do all of these functions and different devices must be purchased from different vendors at huge expense.”

SnapPal is a great, high performance tool that is packed with loads of features that hobbyists will love. Some of these features include time lapse or intervalometer, bramping, and bulb HDR. SnapPal also is equipped with lightning, light, and sound sensors, as well as the capability to add your own external sensor. SnapPal makes it easy to do water drop photography, and to use a step motor for control.

“Currently all development in both software and hardware is finalized and a significant amount of resources have already been invested in this effort, both financially and technically (well, emotionally, too),” Lin says, “Besides electronic procurement, we need a lot of customized plastic cases for SnapPal, and aluminum cases for extension boxes (water drop and step motor). All of the campaign funds will be used for the first batch.”

Now the team just needs the support of the Kickstarter community to make it happen. In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including one early bird SnapPal controller for $79 (comes with two remote controls, one sensor extension box, and one user specified camera cable), a SnapPal with a step motor control extension box for $105, and more! Backers can also pledge $127 to receive a SnapPal with a water drop kit or $153 for a SnapPal with both a step motor and water drop kit.
