If you are from Smiths Station, Al you know there is not a lot going on here. It’s a small town that has steadily grown in size. Most after graduation stayed had a family pursued their regular careers. Some moved away to pursue more exciting careers. However there is one that stayed and while raising her family decided she wanted to do more. She wanted to make her dream a reality without having to move to Hollywood. Skyla Greenlees is one. After getting married at a young age and trying to raise her family, she decided she wanted to show to her children that with enough stubbornness and organization you make your dream a reality.
In 2012 she convinced her friend Kenn Ellis to join her on this adventure. They began the pre-production phase of Angel of Mercy. Together they formed ChattRiv Productions, LLC. Deciding that there was enough history in the town of Phenix City & Columbus to make for an interesting supernatural drama.
In August of 2013 they plan on filming the pilot episode to their series. With most of the principal roles cast and a few still in the process, they struggle forward. Having to wear many hats of pre-production to make this dream a reality.
Angel of Mercy is a supernatural drama based in Phenix City, AL. It tells the story of Jacks, a street smart ABI agent with a trouble past. On the trail of a serial killer, he is forced to team up with FBI agent Merc, who is about mysterious as the very suspect they are trailing. Jacks must overcome his past and open his eyes to new things as he quickly realizes everything is not what it seems. It’s the classic tale of good vs. evil with a twist only to be learned by watching each episode.
Each episode of Angel of Mercy will bring out urban legends often told around campfires as well as some legends that have never been heard of. Jacks will have to come to terms with his past and Merc will have to learn to work with others as they solve the cases and discover how to work with each other.
Of course, like most independent productions, ChattRiv is forced to find what means they can to help fund the project. They have turned to a popular crowd funding site for support.
