Sweet Lulu’s Bakery on Wheels | A Charleston Bakery

GOAL
Become Charleston’s (and hopefully South Carolina’s) most successful Indiegogo campaign while also helping Lowcountry rescue pets.

I’m hoping to raise start-up funds via Indiegogo to open Sweet Lulu’s Bakery on Wheels. It’s a fun mason jar bakery, but better still a percent of profits will be donated — on an on-going basis — to Charleston’s Pet Helpers and the Gulf Coast Humane Society – both no-kill shelters.. Eventually I’d love to expand a line of organic ice cream for dogs with all profits donated to pet shelters not only in the Lowcountry but across the U.S.

Pets have always been a part of my family. And, when I read that 75% of unwanted pets are euthanized in South Carolina shelters, I really wanted to help.

What I Need
Our bakery on wheels is missing 1 very important ingredient…wheels. So my goal is to raise $20,000 to buy a classic pick up truck and vintage trailer that we can renovate into Charleston’s only grab n’ go mason jar mobile bakery.

If I don’t raise the total amount, funds will still be used towards baking supplies like mixers, bowls, mason jars, chickens as I plan on using only fresh eggs, licensing, inspections, renting kitchen space and the list continues. If I exceed our goal, {paws & fingers crossed} funds will go toward building out a South Carolina DHEC approved kitchen vs. renting kitchen space.

ALSO: For every $1,000 raised over our goal – 10% will be donated to the Gulf Coast Humane Society and Charleston’s Pet Helpers, both no-kill shelters.

The Perks – Choice of Desserts
It’s one thing for me to tell ya how fab-u-luss my — dare I say better than Grandma’s — desserts are and it’s quite another for you to sample for yourself.

So, Perks include desserts shipped to your home, a Dessert of the Month subscription you can keep for your self or give to a friend, Dessert for a Year and better still a Dessert for Life Perk.
