Endplay is a multi platform sci-fi game that is set in the near future. Experience life on over 5 different worlds at various development levels. The worlds can be developed by the player. The game is an action RPG with 3rd person/1st person/top down game modes. With endplay – at any time the player is able to take a break from desktop/Xbox play and sync the game with a mobile device to continue playing on the go either in active or passive mode. endplay features, customizeable characters/spaceships, crafting, trading, multiplayer and a whole lot more. Currently a alpha mod kit (creation kit) is ready for players. Plot points walk the fine line between being believable, scary to think about, and fun! The developers are also opening the story to allow for player created plots. The game ponders questions like…what will mankind do with tech like a Digital Biological Converter? Is there hidden power in Sonoluminescence? And other fun topics that push human potential.
The Kickstarter campaign launched on Tuesday and ends this Monday the 18th at 1am. The creator of the game explained he wanted to ensure rewards would be delivered in time for the Holidays. The term endplay [‘end-pley] is technically a bridge term. We found this definition – An endplay (also throw-in), in bridge and similar games, is a tactical play where a defender is put on lead at a strategic moment, and then has to make a play that loses one or more tricks.
PlayPass.org’s endplay seems to take on more than cards. With a video game experience, card play and Augmented Reality all being wrapped into one game, it has a lot to live up to. The project leader, Chad Macon, said – “We have 2 core features already implemented for the cards and AR (Augmented Reality,) the problem is keeping the ideas small at this point as the tech is more than there.”
