Campus Bike was created on the basis of supporting healthier and more environmentally friendly college campuses. Founded in August 2013, we focus on providing an innovative, inexpensive, and easy solution to a needed service on campuses; bicycles. Most students do not own a bicycle, but have a need for one on a daily basis.

We provide a unique service that offers full service bicycle sharing stations across college campuses, with 24/7 access! We promote health and sustainability by providing an outlet to non-motorized modes of self powered transportation. We are currently in the process of designing and developing systems that will ultimately provide this automated 24/7 access. Our program and systems are tailored to specifically meet the needs of students, faculty, and visitors. They are different than many traditional systems, in that they utilize new and unique technologies such as quick release fingerprint scanners, solar technologies, airless tires on the bicycles, and include small release modules at each station for no wait, quick release.

We first intend to implement 8-15 stations on Baylor Universities campus. Each station will contain approximately 20 bicycles, and 20 open slots for docking. A user can release a bicycle from one station, an return it to another with no problem. Our systems will also provide personal dashboards for all users, showing personal progress made while using our systems. Progress reports will include data such as miles riden, calories burned, CO2 emissions saved, etc. A large portion of proceeds generated from these stations will go to benefit new and emerging programs at the university. After our first round of implementation, we plan to move forward and scale our systems to other universities.

After months of dedication, research, and development, we have completed all of the pre-work, and are currently working with developers with whom we have clearly outlined plans for the next steps of our business. Our plan includes working with our in-house-team as well as outside development teams. Included on these teams are various project managers, engineers, (senior level, electro-mechanical, documentation control, etc) and experienced in-house software developers.
Why are we here?

Well, it’s pretty simple. We need your help. We are currently seeking funding which will provide us with the capital needed to move forward with our next phase of development. Once the development is completed, we plan to quickly move forward in working with corporate sponsors to manufacture and implement these systems at our first targeted location, Baylor University. After this implementation, we plan to expand our reach, targeting new campuses. To have the largest possible impact, our ultimate goal is to have our systems implemented at as many locations as possible.

Help fund our development and become a part of something bigger. Help us reach our goal of creating healthier and more sustainable college campuses, by sharing locally and impacting globally.
