Rap indie group Da Duo, who hail from the Gunhill section of the Bronx, have made tremendous strides in the last 6 months via the internet world and concert circuits throughout the NYC area. With major accolades such as XXL Magazine’s “The Break” section now under their belt, and a release of their critically slept-on project “Uptown S%#t,” the [brother] tandem have set out to record an album for their hard-core fans, but of course, they need your help to do so. In attempts to record the best album of [top notch] quality, the group took to Kickstarter in efforts of raising much needed funds to create this album.
(New York, NY — June 6, 2013) Several weeks ago, Bronx group Da Duo officially launched their Kickstarter campaign to help raise funds to record their debut project which is tentatively titled Uptown S**t: The Album.
Certainly no stranger to releasing [mixtape] projects of their own, the strong bonded tandem wanted to do things a little different this go round, particularly in efforts to spread the word about their music, and also get fans to assist them for this great cause—meanwhile diversifying their music as a whole—and bringing back the element of real Hip Hop.
