JULY 20th 2013, LONDON – Luxembourgish filmmaker Fabien Colas has just launched his first ever Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns for his upcoming short film Bounty Hunters. Supported by a very passionate crew, he’s trying to raise a total budget of 2.900£ in order to make this project happen. Bounty Hunters is scheduled to be shot in late August in London, United Kingdom.
The short film tells the story of Ethan and Shin, two very distinctive partners who are on the look-out for a girl they got a bounty for. Their journey leads them to an underground brothel that is located in an abandoned warehouse in London. During their attempt to escape with the girl, they have to face the gang that runs the brothel and Shin is taken hostage. It is now up to Ethan to save his partner.
Bounty Hunters makes use of the well-known American Buddy Film genre, mixed with thrilling fight scenes and a certain amount of dark comedy. Ultimately, it tells the story of the evolving relationship between the two first-time partners.
Director Fabien Colas teamed up with producer Al Brenninkmeijer a few months ago to develop this ambitious concept. They were joined by Hans Lam about a month ago, who functions as a co-writer on Bounty Hunters and keeps working on creating and developing engaging and unique characters. The director is currently finalising the cast for the film and choreographing for the fight scenes has already begun, more than a month in advance of the shoot! You’re welcomed to take a look at their Campaign video that introduces you to members of the crew as well as the Vinyl Factory, the location that Fabien and Al are currently trying to secure for the shoot. Bounty Hunters will be shot in 3 days and is expected to be finished in November 2013.
The production is now trying to find funds through their Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaigns in order to pay for location, cast, props and all other costs that arise on a film set. In return, backers are offered all kinds of interesting perks, ranging from signed scripts and posters, to invitations to set and the final wrap party or even a 1 to 1 Skype conversation with the director.
