The Bloom Equation: Flowers That REALLY Mean Something

San Francisco, CA – On April 14th 2016, Miquila Alejandre will be launching a Kickstarter campaign for The Bloom Equation, a project that aims to revolutionize the flower industry by bringing back the lost art of communicating with flowers. A launch party will take place in San Francisco’s Alamo Square from 2PM-5PM on Sunday, April 17th.

“The Bloom Equation grew out of the idea that with just a small tweak of an existing establishment (the flower industry) our worlds could be so much more magical,” Alejandre explains, “We want to create more fun and connection in the lives of the texting generation. We want to do it by giving people an easy way to communicate with the lost language of flowers.”

Every flower has a meaning. In Victorian times, it was understood that every bouquet was a puzzle to solve, a message to decode. The Bloom Equation is bringing that magic back to create a more fun, more connected world.

Through social media, abundant online sales and by receiving the The Passion Company’s Small Business Award, Miquila and her team have been able to demonstrate a strong market for what they are doing in San Francisco, CA. Now they are turning to Kickstarter to expand into the market of flower delivery subscriptions, but with a couple twists.

Each delivery of resilient, meaningful flowers will come in a box that fits through a mail slot (so you don’t have to be home to get it). Each delivery will be a puzzle to solve, in the form of Flower + Flower + Flower = Message. Recipients will have the option to solve with the help of their friends via social media to earn rewards that will turn the delivery recipient into the best gift-giver ever!

“This Kickstarter will allow us to expand and create Flower Puzzle Delivery Subscriptions: fresh blooms that fit through a mail slot. When you get home, a fun, motivational puzzle will be waiting for you (in the form of flowers!) that you can solve with friends for prizes,” says the creator.

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including a pack of Bloomed Equation Cards for $25, a Flower Puzzle with Free Delivery for $3, and more. Backers can also pledge $65 to attend a Message Crown Creation Class in San Francisco, CA with the creator!
