I am a 25 year old artist from Abingdon MD. Having completed 2 years of education in the Graphic Design field, I changed my major to Computer Information Systems and got an IT Job at Johns Hopkins. After nearly 2 years of doing the same thing day after day, I realized what a huge mistake I made. Work accounts for 5 out of 7 days of the week. That means that if i kept that job i would spend 5/7 of my life just waiting for my day to end. Thats no way to live. So i took the leap. I left my secure desk job so i can find that dream job. I want that job that fulfills me. I want to wake up happy to go to work, and go to bed disappointed because i dont want to stop. And for me, that job is being an illustrator. That is my goal, and i WILL make it happen. Come hell or high water i will be a comic book artist, and this is your chance to help that dream become reality.
Along with the help of a few friends, we have created a comic book! The story is written, and the artwork is underway, but we need help with the printing costs. That’s where Kickstarter comes in. Like all kickstarters, you will be rewarded for any pledge $5 and above, but every single dollar helps. I am in love with the comic i feel its a great story and i would love to keep doing it, but whats really important here is just getting it made so my art can get exposure and lead to bigger things.
