November is NaNoWriMo; it’s a time to celebrate writing and the enormous commitment of time and will that it takes to draft a novel from start to finish. NaNoWriMo sets out to prove that everyone, given the right drive, can tell the story they have within. But what do you do when you finish that draft? What can you do with that story once you pour it out on the page in a thirty-day frenzy of caffeine, post-its, and blistered fingers? For many, self-publishing will become an option.

The Indie Guide to Indie Publishing is a start-to-finish guide for self-publishers, cobbling together expert advice from nine successful indie authors and designers. If you’re considering self-publication on any project, be it fiction, an art book, or a comic, this book can help you. If you’ve already self-published but you’re looking to take it to the next level, this book can help you, too.

The authors involved in this project have done years of research and production, often times patching together their knowledge from scattered sources and learning from epic mistakes. We’ve already combed through the books and websites, filtered out the snake oil salesmen, and done the trial and error ourselves. Our experiences can streamline the process for you and serve as a guide along the way.
