Have you ever been outdoors and wish you had easy access to running water? You know, to wash your hands, your pet, take a shower, or clean some gear. The people at Lunatec have and they think you have too. That’s why they developed Aquabot™. Aquabot uses your reusable water bottle and transforms it into a pressurized sprayer with multiple spray patterns and an easy to use design.
Nick says, “I came up with the idea while on a backpacking trip. Eventually, I just got tired of cleaning dishes, gear and myself by pouring water out of a bottle. I noticed everyone in our group had wide-mouth water bottles. I just needed to make it work better. That’s when the idea hit me. Pressurize the bottle.”
It’s ideal for people that camp, backpack, picnic, tailgate, go to the beach, go to music festivals, have kids with dirty sticky hands and more. Just about everyone. You can use Aquabot to rinse hands, wash dishes, brush teeth, drink, keep cool, take showers, put out camp fires, rinse off sand, clean gear and lots of other uses. The materials are food safe so you can still drink out of your water bottle. It’s even easier to drink out of it when it’s pressurized. No sucking or tilting your head back.
It wasn’t until recently that Nick realized his favorite use for Aquabot is rinsing off his son’s hands when they are out and about. Kids’ hands are always getting dirty from playing or eating sticky food. Nick says they no longer have to use wasteful wet wipes when they are outdoors. Same goes for paper plates.
Aquabot fits on 63mm water bottles. You might know them as wide-mouth water bottles. You would be hard pressed to find someone that doesn’t own a compatible water bottle. Aquabot offers three spray patterns: shower, stream and mist.
But Lunatec and Aquabot need your help. They need to raise $35,000 on Kickstarter to pay for the injection molds. You can help by preordering Aquabot for $29. You can also help by spreading the word about the campaign.
According to Lunatec, you would Aquabot if you have ever washed up in an ice cold river, used a bazillion wet wipes to clean your kid’s hands and face, poured out half your drinking water trying to rinse off your hands, got sand in your car, got your hibachi stolen because it was too hot and dirty to put away in your car, filled up your dog’s water dish on the trail and they didn’t drink it, wanted a fun way to put out camp fires, gotten your hands dirty from eating s’mores, wanted to drink water from your bottle without spilling it down your shirt, dreaded doing camp dishes, needed to water balloon your friends in the outback, or just wanted to cool off.
