Blues Movie in Development to Stress Importance of Blues in American History. America’s Blues’s is a feature length documentary that focuses on the tremendous impact that Blues music has had on our society, our culture, and the entertainment industry. “Most people recognize Blues music’s influence on other genres like Rock and Roll and Jazz, but beyond that it’s impact often goes unrecognized and it’s given so much more to the world”, said JT Branson the film’s director. “It’s our mission to enlighten our audience, ensuring that this original American art form gets the recognition it deserves. It’s also important to us that people understand what the men and women of the blues went through to give us this powerful music…that’s why we’re making this movie”.
To date, the team at America’s Blues has completed over fifty percent of the film using their own money, but are at a point in production where they need to travel to a few more cities and start paying for archival footage and copy written materials so they just launched an Indiegogo campaign in hopes to raise the monies necessary to complete this enormous undertaking.
