Now introducing American Dreamland – the feature film from Iconoclast Entertainment out of Boston, Massachusetts is now live on IndieGoGo. This small studio has crafted a compelling story about suburban teenagers and the trouble they find on a hot summer night. The story is divided into three parts and each part features a different group of friends. Though each group inhabits a distinct and separate space within this suburban environment, they act on similar impulses and so their actions often affect the course of events in the other stories.

At it’s heart, American Dreamland is about the search for casual sex, alcohol, recreational drugs, and amusement. It juxtaposes carefree, mindless adventure with discontentment, shallowness, and restlessness. Imagine if the coming-of-age, youthful, teenage angsty elements of Dazed and Confused or American Graffiti were mixed with the stylized underworld, badass attitude of Pulp Fiction or Falling Down. That’s exactly what American Dreamland is.

Iconoclast Entertainment is a small film production collective headed by Mario Tellez and Tom Waddick. These two filmmakers will be directing American Dreamland with the help of a small team of talented individuals. Mario is and actor and film production whiz. He’s worked on The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington and the ABC pilot, The Odyssey. Tom Waddick writes for the Harvard Lampoon and has won awards for his screenplays at festivals like the Wood’s Hole Film Festival.

From Iconoclast Entertainment: “We need money to make this movie. We have our script, we have our actors, we have our locations. We even have a box of donuts ready to go for the first day of filming. We are ready to make this movie. But we need to buy equipment such as cameras, mics, lighting, and more.” Please take a moment to share this campaign with family and friends to ensure that American Dreamland hits its goal. Thank you!
