Prairie Village, KS — YouTube darling Mary Beth Eversole, actress, creator, and host of Allergy Actress Cooking, announced today that the show has been picked up by distributors Akyumen TV and TV Tibi. Eversole is a native of the Kansas City area and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.

Allergy Actress Cooking is an online TV show that demonstrates how to cook delicious meals for people with food allergies and dietary restrictions. Eversole’s sunny, playful personality and her experience as a professional actress contributes to the show’s appeal and success.

Eversole says the inspiration for the show came from her personal struggle: “When I was diagnosed with 7 severe food allergies and over 20 other food sensitivities, I thought food would never be fun or tasty again. I remember looking in my pantry and refrigerator and realizing I could not eat anything I had on hand. I felt lonely and frustrated, and I was overwhelmed by trying to completely change my eating and cooking habits.”

Eversole explains there’s a stigma around people with eating restrictions, and not much support from outsiders who don’t understand what it’s like to have to worry about every ingredient that you ingest. “People don’t understand that one wrong ingredient can end in a trip to the emergency room.”

“I soon learned that people with dietary restrictions often miss out on how fun food can be. It makes parties and social gatherings very isolating,” says Eversole “I want to make food fun for everyone.”

After 15 years of researching, experimenting, and testing various recipes, Eversole has mastered the art of switching and swapping ingredients to make allergy-friendly food. Eversole’s recipes aren’t boring green salads or dry, crumbly bread; from pizza and potato salad to kimchi and chocolate soufflé, she creates meals that are free from meat, fish, shellfish, most dairy, soy, corn and wheat, but are hearty and delicious enough for even the pickiest eaters.

Just over a year ago, she decided to bring her food to the world through her YouTube show, Allergy Actress Cooking. “The response from people all over the world has been unbelievable. I’ve had people tell me this show is the reason they felt they could get out of bed that morning. That reason alone is why this show is so important.”

For season two, the actress and home cook is expanding her show to encompass the idea of a healthy balance, bringing recipes for all walks of dietary life, including diabetes, eating disorders, mood disorders, lifestyles like paleo, and more.

“We’re very excited to be working with Akyumen TV and TV Tibi, which will bring us a wider audience. Our Indiegogo campaign will fund initial production costs to update our equipment and pay our crew,” says Eversole, “My team has worked tirelessly for a year to help me build this show into what it has become, now it’s time to pay them more than gift cards and movie tickets.”

Allergy Actress Cooking will air weekly, half-hour episodes on TV Tibi starting February 2017 and the Akuymen TV app starting April 2017.
