Adaptive Music is designed to help people in the games & media industry to quickly piece together soundtracks that have a common theme.

As a game and media developer, Jax (Project Creator) would often see other developers expressing frustration about the lack of Royalty Free Music that could be used to create a uniform soundtrack in their various projects.

Being actively involved in music projects, and learning new instruments, was always just a hobby of his until the penny dropped.  “Why not take the skills he had acquired from 20 years of musical training and put together music packages that can be adapted to suit the context of their use?”

The Adaptive Music project is part of the Kicking It Forward community and will be contributing 5% of the profits raised from this campaign to other active Kickstarter projects as a way of giving back to the crowd funding community that are making this all possible.

Currently there are several obstacles that crowd funding will resolve :

–  Short on spare time due to financial commitments which will be offset by a portion of the funds raised to ensure dedicated progress can be awarded to the Adaptive Music project.

–  Fully Licensed Software and Additional Software Packages (The demonstration themed pack was produced using a limited access to quality software and trial variations so to complete the project an expansion in this area will be necessary).

–  The current hardware being used could well be considered a relic when compared with current computer systems and so it will also need an upgrade to perform faster and surpass current limitations on the time it takes to process the audio content as well as improving the quality that additional instruments may be recorded at.

–  The project goals of generating 300 sound blocks are only the beginning and ultimately more than 1200 sound blocks are intended to be created and released to backers that become top tier contributions pledging $43 (50% Early Bird Special)  to $86 (Regular Pledge Point).
