After an accident Annie, a ballet dancer in her early twenties, is in a coma. As she is fighting for her life, she dances through the most memorable moments of her past. As Annie is on the edge of losing her life, significant moments flash past her eyes. She is forced to watch herself growing up, making and losing friends and learning how to dance knowing exactly what is yet to come. As Annie slowly finds happiness and comfort in her personal relationships as she grows older, she tragically loses what she loves the most- the ability to dance. Whether the consequences of the accident, a metaphor for her not being able to dance any more, end her life or not is open for interpretation.

WHY THIS FILM

Dance is one of the oldest art forms in human history and plays a big role in many cultures. It goes back to people’s desire of expressing themselves and social connection- it’s a universal language uniting people without needing any further form of communication. Last Dance merges three powerful art forms: dance, music and film. Annie’s story allows them to complement, challenge and enhance each other.

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

Our goal of £1600 is to kickstart our project and cover costs that we will face in the very beginning (such as the score) or can’t avoid (insurance)! £1600 money is the minimum amount for us to start the production. The more money we can raise, the more room we can give our crew and cast to do what they’re best at! Ideally, we’d like to pay them for their hard work rather than ask for favours- the more we can raise the more we’ll be able to give back to everyone involved!
